The Student Awards Section is responsible for assessing the eligibility and entitlement of all students normally resident in the area of Merthyr Tydfil and attending higher education courses at colleges and universities throughout the United Kingdom. Our purpose is to ensure that you receive all the assistance and advice you need to ensure the application process is as trouble free as possible.

How to Apply for Student Support
Paper applications forms for Student Support will not generally be available. As part of a modernisation package announced by the Welsh Assembly Government, students and parent/sponsors are being encouraged to apply online for support. Online applications can be completed by registering at http://www.studentfinancewales.co.uk/. (Please note this does not apply to Disabled Students and Child Care Grants).
