Your role as a parent can be difficult and challenging, yet it can also be one of the most rewarding. We aim to offer parents and carers advice, tips, information and guidance on various aspects of your child's time at school. We also provide information for those who have children who have been excluded from school, and information on admissions and appeals.
In addition, we support schools in developing close relationships with parents and work closely with voluntary and other agencies in the community.
Please visit the pages within this section of our website to assist you as your child progresses through school and to help you get the most out of parenting.
School Attendance & Sickness Absence

The following leaflet has been put together by the attendance teams in the five local authorities in the central South Wales region working with the Central South Consortium although clearly parents are best placed to know whether their child is well enough to attend school.
