Displaying larger text with your web browser.
If you have difficulty reading the text on this web site you can enlarge it by following one of the following procedures.
Note: Before changing any browser settings you should take a note of their current values should you wish to restore them at a later date. Merthyr Tydfil CBC cannot be held liable for any misconfigurations that occur to your software by following these instructions. If in any doubt please refer to your software's instruction manual.
a) Internet Explorer
- Select the 'Internet Options...' menu option from the 'Tools' menu.
- Click on the 'Accessibility...' button of the Internet Options Dialog Box.
- Tick the checkbox labelled 'Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages'
- To remove background and font colours, tick the checkbox labelled 'Ignore colours specified on web pages'
- Click 'OK' to close all open windows
- Select the 'Text Size' option from the 'View' menu.
- Select the desired text size from the options displayed.
b) Netscape Navigator
- Select the 'Preferences' option from the 'Edit' menu.
- Open the Appearance category and select the 'Fonts' option.
- The value next to 'Fonts For:' the selection should read ''Western' this tells the computer the types of letters and symbols to use for its display.
- Set 'Size' to the required viewing size.
- Also set the size next to the 'Monospace' to the required viewing size.
- Un-Tick the 'Allow documents to use other fonts' option. This will allow your settings to override any preset font sizes.
- Click on 'OK'
