Local EnvironmentThe environment is a key factor that shapes the quality of all our lives. Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council is committed to maintaining and improving the local environment to ensure that Merthyr Tydfil remains an attractive place to live and work.
The Council provides a number of services dedicated to environmental protection, including waste collection and disposal and the conservation of our built and natural environment.
The Council also has a regulatory role in protecting our working and living environment, for example in pest control, noise control and water supply.
