Boundary Review The Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales are about to conduct a review of part of the boundary between the County of Powys and the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil in the area of Ponsticill. In order that they may receive the widest possible response to their intention to undertake this review, the Commission would welcome comments and submissions from all interested parties.
Please take your time to consider the attached plan and return any written observations or comments to the Democratic Services Department, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, Civic Centre, Castle Street, Merthyr Tydfil, CF47 8AN or email electoral@merthyr.gov.uk no later than Friday 14th September 2007.
After this date the Boundary Commission for Wales will consider all the evidence and prepare a Draft Proposals report. On publication of this draft proposal there will then be further opportunity for comment and representation, following which a Final Proposals report will be written, published and submitted to the Welsh Assembly Government. A decision will then be made as to whether to give effect to the proposals; either as submitted or with modifications.
