Members ExpensesMembers Expenses 2009-10.pdf (5k)The Minister for Finance, Local Government and Communities has provided all Councils in Wales with details of the all Wales Scheme of Members Allowances. The Council is required to adopt the basic principles of the Scheme within the Council’s new Scheme of Members’ Allowances in Merthyr Tydfil.
The basic principles for paying Basic Allowance, Special Responsibility Allowance, Care Allowance and travel and subsistence expenses, are contained in the Local Authorities (Allowances for Members of County and County Borough Councils and National Park Authorities) (Wales) Regulations 2002.
