What is the Family Information Service?
The Children's Information Service has grown up....... The Children's Information Service has changed its' name to the Family Information Service (FIS). The Family Information Service offers an enhanced service and now holds information on services and activities for children and young people aged 0 - 19 years.
The Family Information Service is a FREE service offering impartial and confidential information on a range of issues affecting children and young people aged 0 – 19 years.
The Family Information Service covers the whole of Merthyr Tydfil County Borough. It offers a one- stop information service for parents, carers and professionals who need childcare or request information about children’s services and activities.

Every month The Family Information Service issues a Monthly Update (July 2010) 3894k
to all Early Years childcare providers and other key partners in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough.
A Holiday Playschemes and Activities Guide 2010 (5024k) has been produced, listing activities for children and young people in Merthyr Tydfil during the Summer.
