Welcome to Recruitment Fair 2008  Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, in partnership with Job Centre Plus and JobMatch, is set to hold its Fifth Annual Recruitment Fair on August 12th 2008 between 10 am - 3:00 pm at the Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre, Merthyr Tydfil.
The event aims to bring together job seekers from across the region to speak face-to-face with local and national employers about current and future employment opportunities.
The event is set to be very busy if last years event is anything to go by. The Final figures for attendance last year reached approximately 850 in the space of just 5 hours.
The driving force behind the event is the Council's aim of establishing Merthyr Tydfil as a regional business centre for the Valleys. MTCBC hope to bring together the high quality pool of labour and reputable employers who are increasingly being attracted into the area.
The Council is therefore taking a leading role in the promotion of employment opportunities for those living within the locality, as well as persuading job seekers from outside the area to choose Merthyr Tydfil as a great place to live and work.
Approximately 50 employers, Council Services, recruitment agencies and training organisations will attend this years event and it is set to be the largest of its kind held within the Heads of the Valleys Region. Some of the Participants that are involved in the Recruitment Fair include: T Mobile, Argos, Jobs Per Temp, Outfit, Meridian Business Support, St Davids 2, New Look, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, Job Centre, Currys, Evolve/Voluntary Action Merthyr Tydfil and many more....
