Description:
To provide a social work service to children, young people and their families assessed as being “in need” (Children Act 1989 Section 17).To fulfil the role of “Key Worker” (Working Together to Safeguard Children)) in respect of children whose names are included on the Merthyr Child Protection Register.
To co-ordinate the completion of multi-agency core assessments for children whose names are included on the Merthyr Tydfil Child Protection Register.
To co-ordinate and minute core group meetings (Working Together to Safeguard Children)
A Social Worker Qualfication is essential for this position.
