Internet and Email
What is the world wide web? Is it the same as the internet? What is an ISP? Well for the answers to these questions and to learn much more, then consider this course.
This course is run at two levels and is OCN accredited with no exams. The course is taught using Microsoft Internet Explorer as the web browser.
On Level 1, you will study:

how to logon and surf the internet

create and use your own email account
-
send & receive emails, send pictures etc.

shop online
-
research a hobby or interest
On Level 2, you will expand upon what you already know about email / internet and learn how to do the following:

use search engines effectively

use advanced browser features such as bookmarks and favourites

view history to re-trace your steps
-
save pages, images, text to disk / hard drive

use advanced features of email systems
-
be aware of health and safety issues whilst using a PC
