Genesis Pamper Day
On January 10th 2007, Cwm Golau Integrated Children's Centre opened it's doors to the women of Merthyr Tydfil and treated them to a free pamper day with free transport and childcare. Genesis Cymru.Wales is a European funded project aimed at supporting particulary women into training and other empowering opportunities. Genesis invited existing clients and new visitors to the Centre and treated them to head massages by Tanya Hoad and Emma Gibson, facials from Patricia Griffiths, reflexology from "Something Else", make up application from Virgin Vie and blood pressure checks were provided.

"A great day for us hard working women!, definitely more pamper days needed!" |
 |
Whilst the ladies relaxed and chatted over coffee, cakes and quizzes, Gaynor from Taste Buddies treated them to a healthy food demonstration which included fat free cakes! Other treats on the day included nail art from local employer Hanzibar, nail manicures from the students at Merthyr Tydfil College and fruity snacks with Cwm Golau's Parenting Co-ordinator.
A free raffle took place on the day with over 20 pamper prizes including jewellery boxes, body lotions and perfumes.
