Side by Side
Side by Side (previously known as Assisted Childcare Places Scheme) can enable your child to attend their local childcare setting alongside their friends.
Side by Side will pay the childcare fees for a maximum of two part time sessions per week, per child.
How do I know if my child can access Side by Side?
The following will be considered when looking at applications:
- Children with developmental delay
- Children with special needs
- Children and families who are isolated
- Children and families who are experiencing difficulties
- Children from low-income families - two part time sessions must be accessed per week, only one of the sessions will be paid for by the scheme; the other to be paid by the parent / carer
- Children must be aged between 0 - 14 years
- Children must live in the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil
