Early Years Development & Childcare Training

Are you interested in Early Years and Playwork Training?

If yes, then the Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership (EYDCP) can help you.

What do the courses offer?

• The courses cover all aspects of working with children in early years and playwork
• Support providers to meet the National Minimum Standards
• The courses are also available to people wishing to access employment in the early years and playwork sector.

The majority of courses organised by the EYDCP are offered to you free of charge.

In order to access courses offered by the EYDCP you must meet the following criteria:

Either

• Be an early years and childcare practitioner working in either the private or voluntary sector within the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil

or

• Be interested in joining the early years and childcare sector workforce
• Be registered with the Children's Information Service (CIS)

UP 2 U

Are you considering working with children as a career?

UP 2 U is a free childcare taster course for people who are considering joining the early years and playwork  workforce.  UP 2 U is a one day course and free childcare is available upon request.  Each course includes:

•  A presentation from the National Childminding Association
• A visit to an early years setting
• The opportunity to talk to staff from pre-schools and after school clubs 
• Advice on training, becoming a volunteer and looking for work.
