Pupil Projections
Pupil projection figures are calculated using data schools enter on their Pupil Statistical Returns and birth figures received from the Health Authority. The projections also take into account information provided by the Authority’s Housing and Planning Departments and private housing developers. The figures are updated regularly and their accuracy monitored to ensure they are robust. The accuracy of these figures has resulted in the Authority being recognised as being the most accurate in Wales when benchmarked against other LEAs. Both schools and the Council use the forecasts as a tool to assist in their strategic and policy making decisions.
