Looked After ChildrenFor those children and young people who are in public care, a team consisting of a teacher/co-coordinator, learning support assistants and a senior educational psychologist, has been formed. They work closely with the social work teams in Integrated Children’s Services to ensure that the educational opportunities available to all children are focused upon Looked After Children. Personal Educational Plans are devised to support each child. The resulting stability of educational placement is a feature in maintaining successful foster placements.
