Exciting Writing Squad (Welsh) Merthyr Tydfil's Sgwad Sgwennu Cyffrous has been meeting and working since 2004. The members are nominated by their primary school (Ysgol Rhyd-y-grug and Ysgol Santes Tudful), because they illustrate flair and ability in the Welsh Language.
Being a member of Y Sgwad Sgwennu Cyffrous means they get to meet professional writers, introducing the members to the very highest standard of poetry and prose directly from those who make their living through creative writing.
Y Sgwad Sgwennu Cyffrous produced an Anthology of selected poetry, in 2007, "Through The Door" (together with the English language Exciting Writing Squad).

Y Sgwad Sgwennu Cyffrous Members are expected to:

Complete and return allocated work
