A member of the Society is usually based in Merthyr Tydfil Central Library every Tuesday evening from 5pm to 7pm to help beginners to trace their ancestors.

Marriages
Merthyr Tydfil Central Library now has the index complied by Jenny Newman covering all marriages registered in Merthyr Tydfil from 1837 to 1905. This is must better than the G.R.O. index, as the couples are listed together. This work is still ‘in progress’.
