Reading Zone
Our libraries have many thousands of books covering a comprehensive range of topics. A simple example of the diversity of what we buy was reflected in a delivery that included the books, "My husband wears my clothes" and "The Elves and the Shoemaker"!
The Reading Zone reflects both the special "Supporting Life" sets and personal opinions about bestsellers.
The element of review from library users and others is intended to reflect personal opinions in authentic language and allow a certain amount of debate and disagreement.
While we will not include material that is intended to offend anyone, we will not always correct grammar or spelling in English or Welsh. If you wish to make a point regarding either the form or substance of any contributions you are free to contact us.
If it is appropriate, we will pass those views on to the reviewer - or include them on the site.
Please note that none of the views expressed reflect the policies or opinions of the Library Service, Library Staff or the County Borough Council. We certainly cannot take any responsibilities for the external sites listed.
Use of quotations in the Reading Zone
It has not been possible to maintain a link to all sources quoted, but all content "quotation marks" is the copyright of an external source and must not be copied or claimed by anyone else. Original review sources can be provided if that is required
Some links on these pages will lead to Amazon or other open domain sites that provide reviews and similar content. Those pages will also be copyright, but we would also like to make you aware that we have no control over those sites and that content and opinions expressed may change and vary from the time we set the link. We should have all of the books listed in the Reading Zone in stock or on order.
