Books are for everyone

Quick Reads
The Library has a growing collection of material for less confident readers and is part of the BBC RAW campaign to promote reading.
As well as many new titles in stock and on order, like Captain Corellis Mandolin and Memoirs of a Geisha, our collection will soon get a great boost because, as part of the World Book Day partnership, twelve of the biggest names in fiction and non−fiction will be publishing short, fast-paced stories by Ruth Rendell, Maeve Binchy, Richard Branson, Matthew Reilly, Joanna Trollope, Minette Walters, Conn Iggulden, Rowan Coleman, Patrick Augustus, Tom Holt, John Bird, and Mick Dennis and the Premier League.
All suitable Merthyr Tydfil Library abridged books are being re-branded as quick reads, because while some titles are aimed at developing readers of any ages, all of the stories are readable and enjoyable.
Please don't worry about what a book looks like or who it was aimed at, if you like it read it. It is the story that matters.
