Books to Challenge

You can learn from history and experience

It isn’t strictly true that “books” challenge, they are neutral and usually the means of transmission.

Ideas and content makes us think. Sometimes that means being receptive to new ideas and at other times the force of the story or facts gives us no options.

Sadly many people do their best to avoid the challenges of history and ideas.

If you are not one of them, and we hope that you are not, please explore this section.

Please also be aware that this is a reading zone – it isn’t a comfort zone. Some of the books on the Holocaust and Racism are hard to read, but necessary if we are to stop it happening again.

If there is a book that has dealt with a challenging subject in a manner that impressed you perhaps others could also benefit from that experience. Probably the simplest way to do this is to click on the link below to enter your views directly on-line.
