Learning with your child
Sets of picture books suitable for children up to age three are currently being prepared.
The sets will include a number of titles that are suitable for parents to read with their child and learn with them.
A sheet will accompany each picture book to help with meaning and pronunciation.
Depending on the reading level of the parent or carer, we will offer books from the adult literacy collections to encourage a wider reading experience.
Each adult will be assigned a personal contact from the library staff to assist them to make best use of library services and get into a pattern of use that will lead to independent selection of supplementary titles from the main collections.
If you know someone with a baby or toddler who needs help to improve their reading skills we will be able to help them.
