Audio Books
 |
Why not enjoy a book while driving, relaxing or working on your computer? |
We have a very large selection of audio books on audio cassette and compact disc.
We tend only to buy the full and unabridged versions (the whole story).
The voice and skills of the reader can make a huge difference to audio stories, so don't dismiss the book on tape on the basis of one or two listenings. Try others, unless you know that you don't like the stories themselves. For example, there is a tremedous difference in the way that Roger Lloyd Pack and Robert Glenister approached the abridged versions they did of stories by Mark Billingham.
Where there is a choice of format, we now always buy compact disc format rather than compact cassettes
We only charge a single insurance fee of 20p per item per loan and never charge rental fees.
You can check what we have to offer using our online catalogue and reserve them whenever you wish
