Library services are being renewed! Library services are changing and we need your feedback (good or bad) to see how well we are doing
Recent library improvements have included:
Free Internet access and computer facilities at all libraries
Longer opening times at all libraries
Any library members being able to borrow or return stock to the local library service point that suits them best
A refurbished and extended library at Dowlais
Self-service options at every library - for speed and privacy
Home access to free online resources like Encyclopaedia Britannica (library members would already need to have an Internet connection)
Online library accounts to manage loans
Over 70% of "in stock" items requested are now supplied within a week
New books are delivered to our libraries every working day
New special collections have been created including books on starting school, bullying, mental and physical health and well-being.
All members can borrow Welsh learner material for up to a year
Most customer surveys show high and increasing levels of customer satisfaction, but we need - and want - to continue to improve. Tell us your library experiences and you could win a book of your choice up to a retail value of £15 each
All you have to do it answer the following questions and add your experiences. You can then either cut, paste and email us at Library.services@merthyr.gov.uk or send a printout to Merthyr Tydfil Public Library, Freepost 4040, Central Library, High Street, Merthyr Tydfil.
