8.30 a.m.- 5.00 p.m. (Monday to Thursday)
8.30 a.m.- 4.30 p.m. Friday

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council has provided cemeteries and administered burials and records since 16th April 1859.

It is our intention to maintain a high standard of care, and to ensure that each member of the community can arrange a funeral that is meaningful to them and their family.

We will provide, within the funds and resources available, a quality, efficient and cost effective burial, record and family history service to our customers. It is our priority to maintain all Local Authority cemeteries in good order, whilst continually ensuring a tranquil and serene atmosphere within the cemeteries.

We have a Continual Improvement Team in place within the Bereavement Services Section, made up of members of our staff, who meet regularly to discuss new ideas and improvements to our service.
