Main Council Tax Benefit
This is worked out using the income, savings and family circumstances of the person responsible for paying the Council Tax.
Second Adult rebate
This is mainly for single people who have other people living with them who are on a low income. The person responsible for paying the Council Tax must apply but the Benefit is worked out using the income of all the other adults in the household, not including lodgers or other tenants.
