This Division is at the heart of the Council’s financial activities and has direct involvement in many high profile areas of the Council including:
- Payment of all Salaries and Wages.
- Monitoring of Early Pension costs.
- Payment of all invoices for services supplied to the Council.
- Monitoring of all contract payments.
- Handling and evaluating all Insurance claims made against the Council.
- Provision of Risk Management to all Departments of the Council.
- Obtaining via tender the best Insurance cover for the Council.
The Division is highly experienced in the use and development of ICT financial applications, especially in the specific functions of Payroll, Creditors and Insurance, coupled with expertise in the non-specific applications.
The Division works very closely internally with the Service Departments, Chief Officers, Heads of Service, and all associated staff throughout the Authority and the Elected Members.
It has close links with the Statutory external agencies, viz. Inland Revenue, Benefits Agency, Child Support Agency, District Audit and the pension fund authorities – Rhondda Cynon Taff CBC and Teachers Pensions.
