Housing Division. We are committed to providing all tenants and residents with a quality service, introducing new initiatives or improvements in response to local needs whenever we can. To do this we realise we must listen to our customers, act on their priorities and work in partnership to shape future policies. Effective communication is vital for any large organisation, especially one that provides a range of public services.
Our five key strategic aims include:
(1) To ensure that a home is available to all
(2) To create safer, more confident communities
(3) To achieve the Welsh Housing Quality Standard by 2012
(4) To regenerate communities in Merthyr Tydfil
(5) To improve the Health, Social Care and Well-Being of residents
The division manages nearly 4,300 public sector properties with a mixture of accomodation types ranging from houses, flats, bungalows and sheltered housing schemes for the elderly, mainly clustered on estates all over the County Borough.
We work equally hard to look after the interests of owner-occupiers, the private rented sector and roofless families.
Our vision is to work in partnership so that everyone can live in comfortable, affordable homes in sustainable neighbourhoods.
