Repairs and Maintenance  If you have any questions about repairs or replacement work being carried out to your council home please phone the Repairs Contact Centre on (0800) 0857843 or contact the staff at your neighbourhood housing office
Priority 1 - Emergencies:
This covers risks to life and limb e.g. gas leak, water leaks & lack of power. These repairs will be rectified within 24 hours.
Priority 2 - Urgent Work:
This covers high-risk area's e.g. electrical repairs, minor leaks, blocked toilet. These repairs will receive attention within 5 days.
Priority 3 - Routine Maintenance:
This covers non-urgent routine repairs, e.g. blocked guttering, overflows, repairs to windows etc. These repairs will be rectified within 20 days.
Pre-Arranged Appointments:
We also arrange for work to be carried out using an appointment scheme. Appointments are offered for external work but due to the unpredictable nature of the local weather conditions, these maybe rescheduled. During 2007/2008 over 8,700 jobs were completed by pre-arranged appointment. Over 80% of all non emergency jobs are now appointed.
