Health and Safety Registration Fee
This service has recently received complaints about companies requesting money to register for Health and Safety purposes. It looks like another scam based on the Data Protection Enforcement lines. The mailshot states that the recipient is "not registered as being compliant with the Health & Safety Act 1974.....failure to comply may result in criminal prosecution..etc"
However unlike Data Protection Act registration requirements, there is no legitimate fee payable to an authorised body for registration and they are asking for £199 or £249 depending on the recipients status.
Anyone receiving such demands should inform their local trading standards service.
