Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council's Environmental Services Division has once again kept Merthyr Tydfil looking blooming marvellous this summer. |

The County Borough has been bursting with colour from hanging baskets, to bedding plants and glorious floral displays both in the parklands and on roundabouts.
"The staff have worked extremely hard to ensure that the County Borough has been full of colour once again this summer," said Council Leader Councillor Harvey Jones. "The Environmental Services Division has always been committed to building upon their success year on year, being highly commended in the Wales in Bloom Large Town Category 2003 The Avenue de Clichy has been particularly outsatnding and I would like to thank the team for all their efforts and their continued contribution to making Merthyr Tydfil a place to be proud of."
And Mike Thomas Head of Environmental Services commented “ Supervisory and Operational staff work very hard in the Grounds Maintenance section and have built a close working relationship amongst their team continously thinking of new more efficient ways of carrying out their work, they are to be commended for this”
