Handling Collections

Object handling collections, thus far based on domestic themes, are being developed which can be used by schools and community groups.

Walks & Talks

Museum staff are available to give guided walks and talks to community and school groups on the work of the museum and local history.

Lifelong Learning

The museum is committed to lifelong learning and is continually developing activities and interpretative materials for the benefit of all ages and sections of the community.

Oral History

The Museums Service is actively involved with other organisations in recording the memories of local people.

Touring Exhibitions

The Museums Service produces a series of temporary exhibitions each year which are made available to community groups on loan.
