There are regular special events held in the Town Centre throughout the year. The aim of the events is to bring a different shopping experience to the town, through entertainment and visiting markets.

A selection of stalls selling fresh produce from within 50 miles of Merthyr Tydfil.
This month's confirmed attendees, so far are:
Dolithon Meats - Fresh Welsh Lamb, Pork and Beef from Llandrindod Wells
Deli Cymru - A selection of apple juice, butter, salts, honey and olives are made locally.
Trecastle Eggs - Free range hens eggs, and duck eggs when available
Fairtrade Merthyr - A selection of Fairtrade products, including chocolate, cereals and biscuits. Plus free tea and coffee.
Chris' Cards - Handmade personalised cards
Lewis' Fine Foods - pies, pastries and sweet treats for all the family
Merthyr Tydfil Heritage - books and memrobelia focusing on the area.
Tulip Tree - A selection of seasonal plants and seasonal vegetables.
Cookies and Cakes - Unusual cookies and cakes a speciality, all homemade.
