There are regular special events held in the Town Centre throughout the year. The aim of the events is to bring a different shopping experience to the town, through entertainment and visiting markets.

A selection of stalls selling fresh produce from within 50 miles of Merthyr Tydfil.
This month's confirmed attendees, so far are:
Deli Cymru - A selection of cheese, butter, salts, honey and olives are made locally. Plus a new range of vegetarian foods.
Trecastle Eggs - Free range hens eggs, and duck eggs when available. Mayonnaise now available!
Merthyr Tydfil Heritage - books and memorabilia focusing on the area.
Enterprising Art - Local crafts for sale from a different artist every week.
Taste - Gateaux's and patisserie items
Cig Mynydd Cymru - Locally reared beef and lamb, plus freshly cooked burgers to take away.
Fairtrade Merthyr - Free Fairtrade Tea and Coffee to all plus a wide selection of Fairtrade food and crafts to purchase.
Dreamy Delights - Delicious homemade cupcakes
Nant yr Aber Preserves- Homemade preserves from classics to more contemporary offers such as tomato jam.
Sudaco- A wide selection of pork and pork products from Brecon.
Bojoychi - Vegan and raw food specialists
