The Service works in partnership with Consumer Direct Wales 08454 04 05 06 to provide clear, practical advice. Consumer Direct Wales provide first contact telephone advice. More complex issues are referred to us. Alternatively you can call in and see us at the Civic Centre, Merthyr Tydfil.
We operate a drop in advice service:
Monday to Friday 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 4pm.
Here you will receive general consumer legal advice, and if a problem arises we will mediate with the trader in an attempt to resolve the problem.

We are also committed to improving the knowledge and understanding of consumers as regards their rights. We can provide pre-shopping advice. For example a Home Improvement Standard Contract can be used to ensure that both you and any contractor are clear over the work to be done and the price to be paid.
