8.30 a.m.- 4.30 p.m. Friday 

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council has provided cemeteries and administered burials and records since 16th April 1859.

It is our intention to maintain a high standard of care, and to ensure that each member of the community can arrange a funeral that is meaningful to them and their family.

We will provide, within the funds and resources available, a quality, efficient and cost effective burial, record and family history service to our customers. It is our priority to maintain all Local Authority cemeteries in good order, whilst continually ensuring a tranquil and serene atmosphere within the cemeteries.

We have a Continual Improvement Team in place within the Bereavement Services Section, made up of members of our staff, who meet regularly to discuss new ideas and improvements to our service.  Should you have any constructive suggestions or comments, please contact us by e.mail or on the above telephone number and we will be pleased to put your comments forward for discussion.
