UHOVI (Universities Heads of the Valleys Institute) is offering a new programme of bite-sized courses. These short courses are suitable for anyone interested in trying something new, improving their career prospects, or looking for a route into higher education. Delivered in local venues by supportive tutors, courses are available in a range of subjects.

 Courses at Crownford House, Merthyr Tydfil CF47 8ES:

  •  Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology: Saturdays 10am –   12pm. Starts 11th February
  •  Introduction to Renewable & Alternative Energy Science:  5th – 9th March 9am – 4pm
  • A Healthy Heart for You and Your Community: Mondays 6-8pm. Starts 5th March
  • Introduction to Counselling: Mondays 6-8pm. Starts 5th March
  • Reading Women’s Writing: Mondays 11am- 1pm. Starts 5th March
  • Discovering Local History: A Digital Approach: 25th & 26th April, 2nd & 3rd May
  • Safeguarding Children (professional development course): 26th & 27th April, 31st May & 1st June

You don’t need qualifications for most courses as consideration is given to experience and aptitude. Plus there are FREE places available through the UHOVI Bursary Scheme (conditions apply).
