Twynyrodyn Community is a well-established English Medium Primary School located within the town of Merthyr Tydfil. The most recent Estyn Inspection Report indicated that the schools’ current performance is good with excellent prospects for improvement.
The governing body is seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic headteacher who will continue to build on the schools current success.
The successful candidate will: -
- Have a clear vision for excellence of achievement for all pupils throughout the 3 to 11 age range;
- Have substantial proven leadership and management skills of both people and resources;
- Be an effective team player as well as a confident team leader;
- Show the ability to work collaboratively with all of the stakeholders in the school community;
- Be able to promote the identity of the school as a key learning resource and a central part of the community it serves;
Applicants applying for their first head teacher appointment must hold the NPQH.
The closing date for applications is Monday, 18th June 2012. Short listed candidates will be given an opportunity to visit the school prior to interview.
