Position Fixed Term Until Until 31st March 2013

In line with the Principles, Values and Practices of the Duke of Edinburgh s Award and the Youth Service.

Whilst adhering to safe working policies and practises facilitate and support the delivery of the Award across identified areas across the borough. Thus contributing to the development of a social education programme for young people between the ages of 14 – 25 years

To facilitate, monitor and evaluate the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in targeted areas across the borough.

Adhere to safe working policies and practices that are embedded in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

To plan and evaluate your own practice through the completion of procedures and practices, effectively evidencing your contribution to the Award and of young peoples learning and achievement.

To assist in the organisation and support Award group leaders in the implementation of expedition work with young people.

Assist Award leaders to facilitate all sections of the Award giving guidance and support when and where necessary.

Input performance data efficiently and accurately on the Youth Service Management Information system (MIS) and the E DofE system

Produce written reports and presentations needed by the project and present when and where necessary.
