Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council are responsible for a number of car parks within the Borough, all of which require paying and displaying (excluding High Street Car Park).
These car parks are all positioned conveniently throughout the town centre and include a number of disabled bays which are also pay and display.

At the Pay and Display machines. Machines accept £2, £1, 50p, 20p, 10p and 5p coins.
All drivers (including disabled badge holders) have to ensure that a valid parking ticket is clearly displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle.
Free holders are available at the Council Offices.

All Phone and Pay information is clearly stated on our signs located around areas of operation.
You will only need to enter these details once and the information will be automatically saved to your "Phone and Pay" account.
Registering can be done in advance or at the time you park and will take a few minutes.
When you register you will be asked for your credit or debit card details and your vehicle registration number (you can register more than one vehicle and select the correct vehicle when you park).
The season tickets can be used in any car park within the Borough.

When you cancel, you must return your permit to the Civic Centre. You can do this by visiting the Civic Centre in person, or, you can post it to Parking Services using the address to the top of this page.
