The Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales have completed the first stage of their review of Merthyr Tydfil and published Draft Proposals.

There are no proposals to change the number of wards so they will remain at 11, but they have made changes in three of the wards which results in the council going from 33 councillors down to 30 councillors.

The Commission encourage observations on these draft proposals which should be sent to:
