Merthyr Tydfil businesses are being urged to attend an event giving them details of an overseas property exhibition renowned for its investment opportunities.
MIPIM (Marche International des Professionals d’Immobilier), which is taking place in Cannes in March 2020, attracts thousands of people each year including around 10,000 investors and developers from across the globe.
Cardiff City Council, in partnership with the Cardiff Capital Region, is organising a regional engagement event this month for businesses from Merthyr Tydfil, Blaenau Gwent, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen to learn more about MIPIM 2020 and partner opportunities.
The aim is to encourage businesses from across the region to join them in attending the event to showcase South East Wales at what is considered the world’s largest property exhibition.
“With the onset of European grants ending and the ongoing City Deal funding, it’s more important than ever before to sell our competitive strengths on a global stage and seek out the investors, backers and markets that like what the region has to offer,” said Merthyr County Borough Council Head of Regeneration and Housing Chris Long.
The engagement event is taking place at Springboard Business Innovation Centre, Llantarnam Park, Cwmbran on Wednesday 27 November from 6pm– 8pm. There will be an opportunity to hear from previous partners and their experience of MIPIM, along with networking and refreshments.
