Woman from Trelewis fined £400 for fly-tipping

Oaklands Terrace Fly Tip

Thanks to the vigilance of a local resident, a woman from Trelewis has been fined  £400 for fly tipping.

A Fixed penalty notice was issued following an investigation into a fly tipping incident at Oaklands Terrace, Treharris.  The offender accepted the FPN and payment has been made to the authority.  

Councillor David Hughes, portfolio member for Neighbourhood Services said: “We take fly tipping very seriously and we are doing everything in our power to tackle it”

“We urge members of the public to come forward with any information they have in relation to fly-tipping which would help us take forward more prosecutions and ultimately make Merthyr Tydfil a cleaner, greener place to live.”
