Ffaldcaiach Inn of Trelewis was recently fined just under £500 for not having a Trade Waste contract; a legal requirement for any business owner.

After failing to provide the appropriate documentation to prove how the business has disposed of its waste for the past two years, owner Rebecca O’Connor was prosecuted and fined just under £500.

Paul Jones, Environmental Cleansing and Enforcement Manager, said: “This prosecution helps us to highlight the importance of Trade Waste contracts.  It is a business owner’s duty of care to dispose of their waste lawfully; if they do not there’s a chance it could be fly-tipped, which is ultimately the business owner’s responsibility.”
