Request a Clinical Waste Collection

Please note: Requests must be made by 4.30 pm on Thursday for delivery the following day. If your request is received after 4.30 pm on Thursday it will be added to the following week’s delivery. 

Sharps boxes must be outside by 7 am on Friday ready for collection.

The Council will collect clinical waste from residents of Merthyr Tydfil.  We will collect medical sharps such as needles and syringes stored in yellow sharps bins. 

We also offer a dialysis waste collection.  This is arranged by a letter from a health professional or related hospital department confirming the need for a weekly collection of dialysis waste.
