Recycling Box Lids

We no longer provide hard lids for the recycling boxes but do offer shower cap type lids.  These should be tied to the handle of your recycling box with the ties that are attached to it.

Electrical Items and Textiles now collected

You can now recycle small, handheld, unwanted electrical items by placing them in a clear bag at the side of, or on top of your recycling container. We can accept items such as kettles, toasters, irons and other small kitchen appliances, small hair appliances, small DVD and games consoles and remote controls. We are unable to collect large items such as televisions, fridges, washing machines and large desktop computers. (These items can be taken to Dowlais/Aberfan HRC’s or you can request a bulky collection)

You can now put unwanted clothing and textiles out for recycling on the same day as your recycling. Place the clean, dry clothing, textiles and shoes into a carrier bag or white bag alongside your other recycling containers.

Please DO NOT use black sacks or charity sacks as we will be unable to collect these.

Please put out your unwanted clothing, shoes (in pairs), bags and belts and curtains. We are unable to collect any carpets, duvets, cushions, pillows or sleeping bags.
