School places critical key workers and free school meals

Only ‘Critical Key Workers’ (as indicated in a previous communication from schools) should apply to their child’s school if they require Hub access for their child/children, so they can attend their place of work.

Places are limited and should only be requested once parents have exhausted all other possibilities. THE SAFEST PLACE FOR YOUR CHILD IS TO KEEP THEM AT HOME.  THIS ALSO PROTECTS YOUR EXTENDED FAMILY AND THE COMMUNITY.

All applications will be reviewed and assessed by the school (directly) concerned.  In addition to this an Appeals Process will be operated by the local authority for all new applications received and assessed by schools from week commencing the 18th January 2021.

To appeal a decision made by the school, please email  for an appeals form.
