This post is part time and fixed term until March 2020

To assist in the delivery of Educational Psychology Services to early years children and their families in Flying Start areas. To provide psychological support and advice to Flying Start Pre-school providers.

To work in consultation with a range of early years professionals and families to develop intervention strategies that will enhance the quality of children's lives, learning and well-being. Under the supervision of the EP Service, this will involve direct assessment and interventions with children and young people, their families and involved professionals or more indirect work and consultation with other professionals and carer(s) in order to jointly devise interventions to bring about change.

To deliver interventions, including training under the guidance and supervision of the EPS and Early Years Services as needed. Professional supervision and CPD will be provided by the EPS, day to day operations will be guided by Early Years Services.

To actively promote all areas of the Flying Start programme to families within Merthyr Tydfil to increase awareness of the support available.
