We recognise that Disabled applicants have as much ability to perform most roles within the Authority and can contribute a great deal to meeting our objectives. Not only do we value the commitment and contributions made by all current Employees with Disabilities, but we also welcome and encourage applications from disabled applicants, who feel they can make a difference.

The definition of disability in terms of the Two Ticks Symbol is given as: People falling within the definition of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and disabled people who fall outside the definition of disability in the DDA, because their disability affects them only at work, can take advantage of the disability symbol commitments.

The commitment to disabled people is an on-going process, which we are constantly reviewing, and involves all employees within the authority. Therefore if you feel that you can help improve conditions, have any suggestions, or have any problems, please do not hesitate to suggest it to the HR Department on 01685 724669.
