REPLACEMENT MERTHYR TYDFIL LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2016-2031: NOTICE OF CONSULTATION ON SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING GUIDANCE NOTE
Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (MTCBC) adopted the Replacement Local Development Plan (LDP) in January 2020. The Replacement LDP provides an up-to-date planning policy framework that will be used to guide development in the County Borough up to 2031. As part of the LDP process, it was recognised that certain policy areas would benefit from further guidance to clarify how specific LDP policies will be put into practice.
The Planning Policy section has produced a Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) Note that is now subject to an eight-week period of public consultation:
Hard copies of the documents are available for inspection at the Civic Centre, Unit 5 and the Council’s libraries. Comments on the SPG notes must be made in writing and received by the Council by midnight Monday 25th September 2023. Comments may be sent electronically to devplanning@merthyr.gov.uk or posted to: Planning Services Manager, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, Unit 5, Triangle Business Park, Pentrebach, Merthyr Tydfil, CF48 4TQ.
