We Care: Cwm Taf Morgannwg

Who are the people that are important to you?

Children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, grandparents?

We all need people to nurture, guide and care for us at different times of our lives.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg is committed to recruiting local people who have the interest of others at heart.

WeCare: Cwm Taf Morgannwg is a campaign proud to promote awareness about the variety of rewarding job roles available in Care, across Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Bridgend (Cwm Taf Morgannwg).  Led by the Care recruitment teams across the three local authorities’ areas, WeCare: Cwm Taf Morgannwg will showcase why so many people from all walks of life chose, and are chosen, to work in Care, bringing their personal attributes and values to join a growing sector.

Whether you want to make a real difference to the people we support in their daily lives or aspire to lead a team of Care workers, there’s a role for you.  It can be a challenging opportunity, but being able to shape and influence peoples’ lives in accordance with their own personal goals, can create real job satisfaction.  Care provides crucially important support and encouragement, to the very youngest, in Early Years, right the way through to care for older people.

Throughout March we will be sharing stories from some of our own Care Workers describing why they work in Care; there is more to Care than you think!  For many people Care offers them the stability of a role they can keep for life, they are able to specialise in a certain area but also make a difference on a daily basis. For others, it is a great opportunity to progress their careers and undertake further training, leading to qualifications.  There is a structured training and development pathway for care workers from the day they start employment and they will be supported to gain the relevant qualifications required for their job. With plenty of avenues of progression to choose from this is a sector that can provide stability and opportunity in equal measure.

Work in care in Merthyr Tydfil and be the lifeline your community needs.
