Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014

Audit notice where Responsible Finance Officer unable to certify the accounts because the accounts are being prepared in accordance with revised deadlines issued by Welsh Government

Regulation 10 (2) & (3) of the Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014 (as amended) require that the Chief Financial Officer of the Police and Crime Commissioner sign and date the Police and Crime Commissioner’s final Statement of Accounts, along with any opinion given by the auditor, and certify that they present a true and fair view of the financial position of the Police and Crime Commissioner at the end of the year to which they relate and of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s income and expenditure for that year. The Regulations require that this be completed by 31 July 2023.

The Chief Financial Officer to the Police and Crime Commissioner has not signed and certified the final accounts for the year ended 31 March 2023. The Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales will publish his final Statement of Accounts on or before 30 November 2023, once Audit Wales concludes its audit and provides an opinion of the same.
